Here are two Phillip Morris WW2 era vintage advertisements featuring Johnny Roventini who became known as Johnny Phillip Morris. He is in his famous bellboy costume and as an adult was 47 inches tall and weighed about 59 lbs. He was originally employed at the New Yorker hotel and was promoted by the hotel as the “smallest bellboy in the world.” He and Phillip Morris were also early advertisers for the “I Love Lucy” show.
The first ad is a big 10x13 Christmas ad in 1944 and he is holding big gift box of Phillip Morris Cigarettes. The second ad is a 1941 ad that is 5.5x13. Please see the scans. BOTH ads are being offered for ONE price!
The ads are in very good and collectible condition with nice detail. Your ads will be sent protected by a plastic sleeve with backboard.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
