“One Stewart truck supplants ten horses,” is the slogan of this 1918 original vintage advertisement for Stewart Motor Trucks of Buffalo, NY. Shown in the ad is a Stewart Truck for the Chas. Crews & Son Company of Plainfield, Indiana vs. horse pulled vehicles.
The ad is 8x12 and in b&w. It is in good to very good condition with some aging from a magazine that is almost 100 years old. It has nice detail and cut from a vintage magazine. Please see the scan.
A BONUS is the an unusual ad on the reverse side of the paper for Girard Cigars that asked, the question, “Do your children get on your nerves? Girard Cigars “Never Gets on Your Nerves.” Girard Cigars were sold by Antonia Roig & Langsdorf of Philadelphia, Penn. This ad is 5.5x11.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate ads but the front and back of a SINGLE page.
Both are being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
