This is a 1949 large photo of 18-year-old debutante Audrey Robinson curtseying to Governor General Viscount Alexander of Tunis and other notables. Field Marshal Harold Rupert Alexander was a British army officer who served with distinction in both WW1 and WW2 and helped lead the British soldiers withdrawal to Dunkirk. He later became Governor General of Canada. It is a nice period photo of a a different era. Please see the scan.
The photo is 10x12. It was taken from a vintage magazine and is NOT an original photo in very good condition.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
