“Will there be a Victrola in your home this Christmas” is the theme of this 1920 original vintage Christmas advertisement for a Victrola by the Victor Talking Machine Company of Camden, New Jersey. The ad features an old Victrola surrounded by motion picture and famous figures of the period. Please see the scan.
A BONUS is an advertisement on the reverse side of the page for the Belmont Hotel of New York City and part of the Pershing Square Hotels. It was opposite the Grand Central Terminal and once tallest building in the world but was demolished.
Both ads have a wonderful “Old Time Look,” and a neat collectible.
The ads are on a 7x10 page and in black and white. It is in very good condition with nice detail. Any discoloration along the edges are the result of the scanner and do not appear on the actual ads.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate ads but the front and back of a SINGLE page. They are both being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease.
