$9.99
“Only $1 down,” is the theme of this 1920 original vintage advertisement for Encyclopedia Britannica by Sears and Roebuck of Chicago, Ill. The ad features how to buy for $1 down and save $65.
A BONUS is an advertisement on the reverse side of the page for Listerine Toothpaste by Lambert Pharmacal of St. Louis, Mo. It features a tube of Listerine Toothpaste and selling points about it. This ad has a few ink imperfections at the top of the ad. Please see the scan.
Both ads have a wonderful “Old Time Look,” and a neat collectible.
The ads are on a 7x10 page and in black and white. They are in good to very good condition with note about the Listerine ad above.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate ads but the front and back of a SINGLE page. They are both being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease.
