“Kate Smith and the Carpenter‘s Little Girl,” is the theme of this 1940 original vintage advertisement for Calumet Baking Powder. The ad features comic art of Smith and her baking with Calumet. Please see the scan.
A BONUS is an unusual and very dated advertisement on the reverse side of the same page where they are discussing whether a woman was “too hold to have a baby.” It was an ad for Chas H. Fletcher Castoria, a laxative made for children.
The ads are 5x11.5 and will be sent uncut from the original page they appeared. Please see the additional scans.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate items but the front and back of a SINGLE page. They are both being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics. They are both too nice for the buyer not to know about them.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease.
