“Gladys Swarthout fooled the Choirmaster” is the theme of this 1944 WW2 era original vintage advertisement for Victor Red Seal Records. The ad features a nice vintage drawing of Swarthout, a famous Mezzo-Soprano singer and actress with information about her.
A BONUS is another ad on the opposite side of the same page for General Tires. Featured in the ad is a neat old drawing of a man bringing a hat to the door when the woman wanted a “re-cap.”
The ads are 8x11 and in very good condition with nice color and detail.
REMEMBER: these are NOT 2 separate items but the front and back of a SINGLE page. They are both being listed because of possible multiple interests or topics.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming scarcer as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
